Hi Nëk, Great to have you with us today! Please share with our readers about yourself.
Hi, I am an Artist/Producer from Suitland, Maryland. I create a HipHop Alternative sound with hints of blues, jazz, and R&B.
Please tell us more about your journey.
My journey into music started when I was young. I was the youngest in my family, and everyone felt I should be in the background and helping the artist’s vocals come out better on tracks. So while being an instrumentalist and producing, I was able to cultivate my own sound in my downtime. Coming from a musically inclined family, I wanted to create a sound that’s distinctive to me and only me. So I combined my favorite genres and put a rap flair to it. I started taking music seriously around 2019 when one of my late friends passed. He was a driving factor in pushing me to put out music I was holding for so long.
Please tell us about your EP, Less is More.
I just recently released Less is More. My producer and I co-produced on the project giving my fans a quick transitional piece while they wait for my next mixtape. Less is More is an introductory perspective on what it is to live a minimalist lifestyle.
Living with less or below your means helps further increase those means and also creates space for blessings and abundance. We are often times so focused on the chase that we forget to stop and enjoy the moment.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
Studying artists and going through drastic life experiences, as crazy as that sounds, helped me the most in creating songs. I think the most impactful thing is an artist with a story, who can help the audience visualize as if they were there.
