Tony Beyond is an artist who is earning a lot of attention in the music world, and with good reason. His music stands out for its versatility, a unique vibe that characterizes each song, and a strong sense of immersion. Each track can pull the listener into a new world.
Tony Beyond started working in 2011 and has been becoming more of his unique artist self through the years. The artist decided early on that he didn’t care about being discovered by a label; rather, he took matters into his own hands and created his own label, Beyond Earth Entertainment. In 2017, it was formalized, but even before that, it served as a way of putting his mixtapes out into the world, first through DatPiff and then through SoundCloud, as well as helping other artists to do the same, forming a tribe around the label. Since his early days, his music has been praised and received positive feedback from his listeners and also from those in the music community.
Tony’s catalog of music is comprised of 13 mixtapes, but that’s not all. In 2015, he released a debut album, another achievement of Beyond Earth as an independent label, proving that major labels were not necessary to make good art. He has five full-length projects, two EPs from 2022, and several versions of the same projects to offer listeners different experiences.
Tony Beyond is also known as DeAnthony McLendon, Master Tone, Tony Dee, and D! and comes from Cleveland, Ohio. However, he moved to Atlanta to pursue his passion for music, which was ignited at such an early age, he can’t remember life without it. Music flows naturally and organically, inspired by his authentic experiences and his own life.
His music has always been distinguished by freshness, as each new project offers something unique and new. Each track can go from melodic to rugged, rough sound, highlighting the powerful vocals. His style is a trippy, psychedelic, alternative, or almost alternative hip-hop.

We had the pleasure of interviewing Tony Beyond. Here are the excerpts from the interview.
Hi Tony, Great to have you with us today! Please share with our readers about yourself.
Hey, I create music with thought-provoking lyrics alongside unique visuals. Also, I handle the majority of my audio engineering and music distribution. I manage myself proud of the fact that I did wait around to be discovered. I learned the skills needed to succeed, got up, and took action putting my music career entirely into my own hands.
Please tell us more about your journey.
Well, I grew up in an artistically inclined family. Very early in my life, I was very good at linguistics; even at 7 years old, I had the ability to freestyle. By 11 years old, I was writing my own songs. Once I was 15 years old, I was fully capable of freestyling, writing, recording, mixing, and mastering music with my own imprint hosting a roster of several independent artists. Today, at 27 years old, there is a track record of leadership with achievements in creative breakthroughs. I am genre-bending and cannot be put in a box. The only thing missing at this point in my career is a broad enough audience to tour the world!
Please share with our readers about your music projects.
Currently, I am in the process of producing a sequel to one of my most well-received breakout projects, ‘Blastoff.’ This project came off of a 3 year hiatus from releasing premium content, which marked a pivotal shift in my sound. My upcoming full-length project will be titled ‘Blastoff 2: Ghetto Boy’ following the premise of the preluding project. This is my first sequel to a premium release, as the only other projects to get a follow-up is my ‘Master Tone’ and ‘Danger Close’ mixtapes. ‘Blastoff’ is all about high energy as well as excitement. It highlights a very unexplored area of my personality. This second installment, ‘Blastoff 2: Ghetto Boy,’ delves into the origins of what makes me who I am without being a blast to the past. Instead, it is the demeanor that is being showcased. The project will highlight the growth of my development as a person.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
Just stay consistent. Don’t ever give up! I never allow life to fully defeat me or keep me down. Walking this path, nothing can keep me from moving forward. I am willing to battle every bit of adversity and overcome any obstacle to get where I want to go.
