Hi Jaydabee, It’s great to have you with us today! Please share about your latest EP with our readers.
Hi, my latest album (EP), Look Alive!, is a project I started while working away from home. It definitely gives mixed emotions. Songs such as “Doors to Your Mind” is a story of my childhood trauma growing up in a broken household. “6ix in 6equence” are my thoughts on society today. “Loose Cannon” is me releasing the anger I’ve held inside. And “Look Alive!” is my masterpiece. Look Alive! is the mind of Jaydabee; I don’t know why I’m here or what I’m supposed to do? We’ve all got a voice in our head or voices, just telling us what will and what won’t, what to do or what not to do. Nobody ever really listens when you vent. They’re always waiting to speak their mind. Cause, in all actuality, “we’re all mad here”.
What strategies contributed to your success?
Being open about myself in my music. Being real. Not just trying to impress others. At the same time I like to make catchy songs with lyrics that can get stuck in your head for weeks.
