Eddie was born in Escuintla, Guatemala, and since his childhood, has loved music. When he was just twelve years old, he taught himself to play guitar, even though he had no money to obtain one. The father of a teacher gave him an old bent instrument that did not have strings, nor did it have tuning pegs, making it unusable. But Eddie Gonzalez did not give up and made the tuning pegs himself. Then, he bought the cheapest strings that could be found, tough steel strings that would hurt his fingers as he learned to play. But this did not discourage Eddie. Instead, he was happy to have a guitar to play.
As time went on, Eddie learned to play other instruments beyond the acoustic guitar. He mastered the electric guitar, the bass, the drums, and the piano. He also became an accomplished singer and first sang in his church in a duet with Julio Melgar. At 15, he joined a church band in his hometown.
Alongside his band, Eddie would go on to arrange music for other bands and people, going to a professional recording studio to support bands and musicians who made their own albums. This provides him with a lot of experience working with different instruments, styles, and genres. In 1993, Gonzalez moved to the United States, where he continued to work in music and has not stopped since his childhood.
In 2016, he was fortunate enough to release his first album, titled Final Battle. The second one, Paraiso Tropical, came out in late 2022. Since then, he has continued to release music that he makes using a variety of instruments and software, always creating original work. Eddie loves playing with sound and arrangements and does not let a particular genre define him.
