Today, we have the pleasure of Interviewing Alyaa Taha, a holistic skin therapist in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, wife and mother. She is the Founder and CEO of Ekuume Skin. She is a Holistic skin Correction Therapy specialist, an Anti-inflammatory ingredients expert and a beauty and wellness activist.
Can you please tell us about your journey?
I was a hard-working mom of 3 kids, a wife, and a busy student and always suffered allergies and sinusitis. I was studying interior design when I started to develop an extreme sensitivity on my face, everything would aggravate it, and nothing seemed to help. I went to every department store and skin professional, and nothing could help. No one could know that I actually developed (Rosacea) because I am a dark-skinned woman, and Rosacea is only thought to affect Cocassion skin. Only to make the situation worse, I was diagnosed later with Fibromyalgia and was put on painkillers. I felt so frustrated and scared and thought there must be another way. I made a drastic shift from Interior design and decided to study skin to know everything about this mysterious organ!
I was working nonstop getting my certification and license. I also studied Aromatherapy, human energy healing, in addition to health and nutrition. I became a wellness and beauty activist and expert. That’s how Ekuume Skin was born. My clientele grew rapidly and highly. I was able to diagnose and treat my skin, Fibromyalgia, and sinusitis problems and got off medications completely. I developed my own holistic treatment protocols and formulated my own formulas because I had to provide the cleanest and most effective formulas for anyone having skin with an underlined condition, pregnancy, and for people who understood the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

Our brand provides an American Anti-inflammatory Beauty skincare line superior in quality and accessibility. Our products work with high efficacy for all skin tones and conditions, which is a great accomplishment in the skincare world. It can treat all skin tones, types, and conditions, including the most sensitive and restricted skin.
In my opinion, you don’t have to compromise between safety and effectiveness when it comes to your health and beauty! And, you don’t have to be a millionaire or a celebrity either to create such products.
We were able to make completely American products, significantly anti-inflammatory, Clean, authentic, accessible, and highly effective without compromising your health or wellbeing.
My busy lifestyle, my client’s active lifestyle, and the stressful, demanding lifestyle of covid 19 inspired me to design a skincare line that you can rely on while saving your skin, health, time, money, and our planet.
Ekuume Skin also donates to teens and young adults’ mental health.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
I didn’t actually plan for certain strategies then, but I was very excited and determined to find the safest holistic beauty perfection solutions for myself, my loved ones, and the world.
