    Sorcery-&-Sin-in-the-Second-World

    R. S. d’Arcy offers an exciting, spicy fantasy story that centers on a married couple exploring a new world. Sorcery & Sin in the Second World is a fantastic story with powerful character building, a fun premise, and a plot that keeps the reader hooked from start to finish.

Sorcery & Sin in the Second World aims to be a different kind of fantasy story and succeeds in this undertaking. It focuses not on a single hero but on a couple who each brings their strengths and their weaknesses. Despite being at odds or having conflicts, the married couple is at their best when they are together and can work as a team.

Dredden - Sorcery-&-Sin-in-the-Second-World Rena, a woman who is a little bored with her life, walks through a portal into a fantasy world. A couple of hours later, her husband, Pal, walks in looking for her. But in the meantime, Rena has lived in the fantasy world for over two years, not just hours. As we see Pal reacting to this fantastic situation and all the things he encounters there, we get to see it through his eyes and relate to this fish-out-of-water experience. So, how would a normal person react to a fantastic situation, whether they would find their inner hero or just have the tools of a simple accountant?

The book is full of violence, sex, humor, and fantastic adventures. At the core, it’s a love story between a husband and a wife. Both Pal and Rena get to know each other, discover themselves, and also have to fight giants, unlock magical powers, and explore a rich setting that is full of danger and excitement. The readers are sure to be enthralled by the solid character building that is supported by the experience of an exciting, thrilling plot with plenty of spice and action. There are a lot of twists and turns that keep the audience guessing, but there is also a lot of heart to be found in the romance, all seasoned with just the right amount of humor.

    R. S. d’Arcy, also known as Robert Scott d’Arcy, is an author who was born and raised in Long Island, New York. He graduated with a degree in Political Science from St. Joseph’s College. He would first begin his career as an usher and a manager of a movie theater. Then, he pivoted hard and joined a famous government agency, where he would work, on and off, for twenty-two years. While R. S. d’Arcy does not disclose which agency it was, he does say that one of the three letters of the acronym it’s commonly known as is an I. He is married and has a daughter, writing Sorcery & Sin in the Second World while watching the baby over the long nights. During the pandemic, he moved to Southern Nevada, where he embarked on a writing career. Sorcery & Sin in the Second World is a great book for fans of fantasy looking for a new take on the genre.

We had the pleasure of interviewing the author. Here are excerpts from the interview.

Hi, It’s great to have you with us today! Please share about yourself with our readers.

Hi, my name is Robert Scott d’Arcy; I use R. S. d’Arcy for short. I used to work for the United States Government for over twenty years, but now I’m a stay-at-home dad. While taking care of my first child, a baby girl, so my wife could get some sleep before going to her job the next morning, I decided to write Sorcery & Sin in the Second World at the end of 2022/beginning of 2023.

Please tell us about your book, Sorcery & Sin in the Second World.

With Sorcery & Sin in the Second World, I wanted to write a different type of fantasy story. Rather than just have a superhuman single person, male or female, be the hero and save the day, I wanted to make it a married couple who may be at odds at times but ultimately are at their strongest and most successful working together. I also wanted to have one of the characters, Pal, to be a fish out of water with real-world reactions to fantastic things. Just think about how you would react if thrown into a fantasy world. Would you really act like Superman or more like Joe from the accounting department? Along with some violence, sex, and language, I also interject humor to round it out. It’s not overt joke-telling, but, again, just some real reactions to situations.

Please share your journey with our readers.

I always loved writing, especially screenplays, but I always wanted to write a book. This is not easy when you work a full-time job and have other responsibilities in life. When I left my job to be the day/night care for my daughter, I decided to take advantage of the free hours (nap time) to write…very quietly. I read books and articles on how to write a book, from formatting, pacing, and story structure. I finally put it all together and spent the next eight months writing Sorcery & Sin in the Second World

    Any message for our readers?

My goal of writing Sorcery & Sin in the Second World was not only to write an enjoyable and entertaining book that leaves you wanting more, but for a few hours make an escape for you from your everyday life, especially if you had a tough day.

Fantastic! So tell us, how can people find out more about your book?

Sorcery & Sin in the Second World is found exclusively on Amazon in Kindle and Paperback versions.

Thank you so much, Robert, for giving us your precious time! We wish you all the best for your journey ahead!
