My name is Bradley Krae. I am an English teacher and a writer. I was living in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, but I packed my bags and moved to China to teach English and travel the world. I was chasing adventure and chaos.
Please tell us about your Book.
My book, God is a Turtle: Teaching English Abroad: The Raw Cut, details my travels and the mind-bending experiences that I had along the way.
The book made it to number #1 on Amazon KDP for two weeks in a row in the travel writing category.
Everything from the initial culture shock to more bizarre encounters and experiences like spending nights in a Chinese jail and having nightmarish hallucinations with shamans while drinking psychedelic brews in the deep mountains of Colombia.
Please tell us about your journey.
The journey was essentially a modern-day version of Fear and Loathing but took place across the globe. I saw the raw and visceral side of life in my travels. I saw what it meant to have nothing and what it meant to have a desperation for survival so deep that you’re willing to do just about anything to survive. It’s a twisted world full of heart-breaking scenes, but it’s always eclipsed by beauty in some way.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
My strategy was, if it gets your heart thumping and your adrenaline pumping, just do it.

Chasing chaos, insanity, and adventure worked for me and my life, but I wouldn’t advocate it for the weak-hearted.
