    The-Silver-Coin

The Silver Coin is the exciting fantasy story from author Mika Mathews. It is the first book of the Oaths of Dante series that creates a unique story and world that is sure to be enjoyed by many readers.

Dante lives in a world devastated by the war of the gods, neverending, the same war that left him without his parents. Now he is trying to find a way to find some power for himself. His attempts are risky, but Dante is studying the craft to excel in knowledge forbidden to someone like him, not affiliated with the gods or their priests, not a noble, and not a person of a magical bloodline. With the help of his only ally, Dante is trying to reach new heights, which is quite risky for a lowborn boy, but this is a goal that he is going to pursue to the end. This is someone trying to become a powerful force in a world that is determined to stop him through harsh consequences if he is discovered.

On the other side, Hecate, the Goddess of Magic, the one who has three faces, is looking for a chosen one or rather the opposite of the chosen one, someone free of a destiny, free of bloodlines, and free of the burdens others might carry. With the help of this soul, Hecate might be able to serve as the Ambassador to the Gods and fulfill her function by changing the course of war among the mortals.

The Silver Coin weaves a powerful story and creates a unique world that offers a lot to explore. It comes from the mind of Mika Mathews, who began as a fanfiction writer, and is now crafting his own mythical tales. He has worked hard to develop a unique style and a type of writing that is free of cliches and common patterns. Mathews works in the genre of young adult fantasy and creates something full of magic and mystery.

    Mika-Mathews

Hi Mika, Great to have you with us today! Please tell us about what it is that you do.

Hi, I work in health care, but my real passion is writing. I have been writing for eight years but have wanted to write since I was around four.

Please share with our readers about your book, The Silver Coin.

My book is a mythical twist on post-apocalyptic stories, with a protagonist that lacks the draw and advantages of nepotism. He is one of the only ones to lack a bloodline, blessing, or innate power to give him an edge in the world of magic, mysticism, and gods. After losing his entire town, essentially making him an orphan, a simple choice gives him an edge in this world, but at a great cost if he fails.

Please tell us about your journey.

I have been writing for years, starting with fanfiction. Eventually, I got comfortable enough to start writing with some failures. Many failures, in fact. I tried to publish a book years ago but made every mistake in attempting to do this. Eventually, after so much research and improving my craft, I finally managed to do it.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

Failures are the lifeblood of success, and you need to mess up and do better with each attempt. I made so many mistakes, but they all led me to the success I have found. Not giving up, as cliche as that is to say, is exactly what pushes you into success.

    Any message for our readers

I want the readers to never forget that hard work can matter, and this story is proof of that. It is eight years in the making, practically a lifetime.

If you like myths, magic, and stories that deal with mental illness, then this book is the one for you!

Thank you so much, Mika, for giving us your precious time! We wish you all the best for your journey ahead!
