Readers encounter not only a magical quest but also an emotional pilgrimage toward self-discovery and spiritual awakening.

This gripping tale resonates deeply with anyone who’s faced personal anguish or questioned their purpose. Loren’s narrative is deeply human, allowing readers to witness the transformation of pain into resilience, doubt into faith, and despair into hope. Each chapter delves deeper, revealing the complexities of Loren’s character as he navigates through darkness, guided by an unwavering inner spark.

Mount Valdun: A Mission of Destiny

Loren’s first significant mission takes him to the forbidding slopes of Mount Valdun, tasked with retrieving Haven’s Blade—an artifact renowned for its power and historical significance. At first glance, Loren believes it to be a straightforward quest, unaware of the profound darkness concealed within the mountain. As he ascends, the mountain gradually reveals itself as a malevolent entity harboring ancient and malevolent secrets.

Each step upward is fraught with peril, testing Loren’s strength, skill, and spirit. Physical obstacles become intertwined with spiritual challenges, pushing Loren toward a reckoning with himself and the lurking darkness. His journey through treacherous landscapes serves as a symbolic and literal climb, confronting him with increasingly sinister threats. Loren quickly learns that Mount Valdun demands more than bravery—it demands truth, courage, and a willingness to face the most hidden aspects of his being.

A Dark Force Awakens

Mount Valdun is alive, driven by a sinister force hidden beneath its rugged exterior, patiently waiting for release. The deeper Loren ventures into the mountain, the more intense the darkness becomes, enveloping him in its oppressive grip. Shadows and whispers of malevolent power challenge Loren’s sanity, tempting him with despair and fear. This dark presence does not simply threaten Loren physically—it seeks to consume his very soul.

Confronted by relentless internal and external battles, Loren must choose whether to succumb to this overwhelming evil or to rise above it. His choices carry profound consequences, influencing not only his destiny but the balance of good and evil itself. Loren’s struggle symbolizes the universal fight against darkness, embodying the timeless battle between faith and despair, hope and resignation.

Thank you so much for joining us today! Please introduce yourself and tell us what you do.

Hi, my name is Michael, and together with my brother Jonathan, we write immersive dark fantasy and horror fiction. Our stories blend atmospheric world-building, haunting themes, and complex characters to take readers on unforgettable journeys through the shadows. Whether it’s a tale of ancient evil, cursed magic, or the battle between light and darkness, we aim to create stories that linger long after the last page.

Please tell us about your Book.

The Sinister Odyssey of Loren is a dark fantasy novella that serves as the gateway into the Savage Universe—a world of ancient magic, forgotten evils, and heroic destiny.

The story follows a young wizard named Loren, who is sent on a perilous mission to the peak of Mount Valdun to retrieve a legendary artifact known as Haven’s Blade. But what begins as a noble quest quickly becomes a nightmare, as Loren discovers the mountain is not abandoned… it is inhabited by a dark and malevolent force that has long awaited its chance to rise. As danger closes in and the shadows grow deeper, Loren must confront more than just the darkness around him—he must face the power within.

Please tell us about your journey.

My brother Jonathan and I started building stories together when we were just teenagers—two imaginative kids with a deep love for fantasy, storytelling, and world-building.

We grew up inspired by epic sagas like The Lord of the Rings, The Witcher, and Eragon, and often found ourselves asking: what kind of world could we create? The answer became Eos—a realm of magic, ancient powers, and characters caught between fate and free will. Loren’s journey was one of the very first stories we imagined, and after years of shaping, rewriting, and falling in love with it all over again, we’re proud to finally share it with readers.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

One strategy that helped was film scores. It really helped me immerse myself into what I was writing.
