Hi, I’m a mother of three wonderful daughters, a professional trainer, someone with over two decades of experience working in aviation, and now an author of children’s books. My life journey has been a wonderful juggling act between soaring the skies, managing a career, and raising my kids. Being a mom has been my biggest inspiration – my home is always filled with laughter, chaos, and endless bedtime stories, and that’s where my inspiration for Tippy Taps The Elf came from. When I’m not writing or running after my little ones, I’m probably sneaking cookies—just like Tippy Taps! Writing children’s books, like Tippy Taps Elf’s Stories, is my way of bringing joy and magic to families everywhere.

The series Tippy Taps Elf’s Stories is a collection of whimsical, laugh-out-loud Christmas adventures featuring Tippy Taps. It is all about the magic of Christmas seen through the eyes of a mischievous yet lovable little elf named Tippy Taps. From chasing runaway gingerbread cookies to concocting ridiculous reindeer remedies and sneaking around to spy on children to put them on Santa’s Christmas lists, Tippy Taps’s adventures are funny, heartwarming, and full of festive surprises.
These stories are designed to bring families together. They are perfect for parents who want to create magical moments at bedtime or add a little sparkle to family evenings during the holiday season. As a parent, I know how precious these moments are. I wanted Tippy Taps to be the kind of series that sparks giggles, inspires imagination, and creates memories for years to come.
Please tell us about your journey.
Balancing writing with a full-time job and raising my daughters has been quite an adventure. Many of Tippy’s antics were inspired by real-life events—whether trying to get my kids to take medicine or sneaky late-night snacks. Writing these books felt like a chance to bring a little magic into everyday parenting mayhem and share the wonder of Christmas with families everywhere.
My journey has been a whirlwind of planes, parenting, and pages! Over many years in aviation, I had the pleasure of working with incredible teams and meeting people from all walks of life. My career helped me dream big and showed me the importance of staying grounded while reaching for the skies.
At the same time, raising my three daughters has been the heart of my journey. They’ve been my greatest teachers, reminding me to find beauty in messes and tell stories that light up their imaginations. Writing Tippy Taps Elf’s Stories felt like blending those two worlds – infusing my love of adventure and organization from aviation with the warmth and wonder of family life.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
Honestly, a lot of caffeine and a good sense of humour! Beyond that, I’d say three things helped the most:
Imagination and Play: Writing Tippy Taps often felt like playing along with my daughters. Their giggles were my biggest motivation.
Joy in the Little Things and Consistency: As a parent, I’ve learned to cherish the everyday joys I spend with my children. These experiences inspired Tippy Taps, proving that the best stories often come from the everyday. I also made it a habit to carve out time for writing, whether it was a single paragraph or just brainstorming ideas, even on my busiest days.
Support System and Believing in the Impossible: Whether flying above 30,000 feet or bringing a mischievous elf to life, I’ve always believed in dreaming big and inspiring others to do the same.
Strong support is key to achieving your dreams. My kids and family have supported and cheered me on every step of the way, and their excitement has kept me going.
Any message for our readers?
To parents: You are doing such a fantastic job. Between work, family, and everything else, I know how hard it can be, but trust me—don’t underestimate the power of a bedtime story.
