An Invitation to Explore an Ant-Inspired Mythos
Anyone searching for a reading experience that sparks curiosity and ignites the imagination may find The Ole Antmythopoeia: An Incomplete Trilogy by No Originality irresistible. This unusual book challenges readers to pick up the pieces of a fragmented tale and interpret them in a way that feels personal and meaningful. At the heart of this project lies an “Interpretation Game,” where each illustration, phrase, and subtle hint forms part of a puzzle—one that encourages readers to weave their own narrative.
-
Understanding the Interpretation Game
Rather than laying out a straightforward plot, the author embraces what he calls “Remix Fiction.” In this style, seemingly unconnected images and text interlock to convey fables from the ants’ spiritual philosophy, known as Naranathism. The purpose of Remix Fiction is to mirror the way ants pass down their stories—through nuanced combinations of visuals and words, each open to an individual’s perspective.
In this sense, The Ole Antmythopoeia operates more like a game than a conventional book. Think of it as a quest: every reader is a traveler gathering clues to assemble a cohesive narrative. Some pieces snap together neatly, while others remain vague and mysterious, prompting deeper thought. This fluid design demands active participation, ensuring that no two people walk away with exactly the same interpretation.

Inside the Incomplete Trilogy
The text is divided into three parts—a Backstory, a Social RPG, and a Starter Guide—all tied together by the idea of a metafictional video game. This trilogy contains the wonder tale called Grasshopper Sharpshooter, which centers on a character named Airen Tony Coleman. Hailed as a metafictional deity in the ants’ pantheon, Airen’s adventures illustrate core themes of Naranathism: a brand of nihilistic deism that explores both the emptiness and potential meaning in life.
Yet the author calls this trilogy “incomplete,” a nod to the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi, which values imperfection and impermanence. By leaving gaps and unresolved threads, the story toys with readers’ patience and curiosity. Where a typical narrative might present all answers in a neat bow, this one invites readers to embrace loose ends, discovering beauty in the act of guessing, imagining, and piecing together events. In doing so, the ants’ belief system comes alive—not through strict doctrine, but through an open-ended puzzle.
-
Experiencing Naranathism
At first glance, Naranathism might seem intimidating. After all, anything billed as “nihilistic deism” can sound heavy. However, the story’s playful approach encourages readers to see the philosophy from a fresh perspective. Instead of fixating on the emptiness that nihilism can evoke, the ants’ approach suggests there might be room to craft personal meaning through interpretation and creativity.
This mindset resonates strongly within Grasshopper Sharpshooter, the narrative tapestry woven throughout the trilogy. Readers are not handed a conclusive set of beliefs but are nudged to decide for themselves how to connect each anecdote and illustration. There is a thrill in finding patterns, perhaps hinting that meaning is not absent from the world but waiting to be discovered by those willing to look deeper.
As the story repeatedly mentions, not a single soul has claimed to have unlocked the ultimate truth behind Grasshopper Sharpshooter. Rather than a flaw, this incompleteness becomes a shared adventure—an ongoing puzzle that each new participant attempts to solve. For anyone who relishes a challenge, it can feel like playing a mental role-playing game where every revealed clue births another question.

The Author’s Adventurous Spirit
Behind this creative puzzle is an individual who describes himself as “just a guy that loves adventure. And a good game or two.” It’s easy to see how those passions come together in The Ole Antmythopoeia. By merging his fascination with video games and storytelling, he offers readers the chance to interact with the text as if they were navigating a fantastical quest.
This personal drive for exploration shaped his decision to share these ant fables in a form that highlights curiosity above all else. Far from a conventional storyteller, he places readers at the center of the action, almost as if they are players in a live game, uncovering the layers and twists of Naranathism. It’s an invitation to join him in an imaginative expedition where each clue might guide the reader closer to an elusive core meaning—or turn everything upside down again.
Conclusion
Ultimately, The Ole Antmythopoeia: An Incomplete Trilogy stands out as a literary experiment that refuses to hand its audience a definitive answer. By structuring the narrative as an “Interpretation Game,” the author grants every reader the freedom to construct personal meanings around the scattered pieces of text and illustrations. The unusual trilogy—comprising a Backstory, Social RPG, and Starter Guide—offers a playful window into the ants’ mesmerizing worldview, full of deities, fables, and an undercurrent of profound philosophical thought.
For those seeking a singular truth, be prepared for surprises: the text revels in unfinished threads and hidden teasers. Readers who approach it with an open mind and a sense of fun will likely discover something unique. And maybe, just maybe, someone will see the elusive secrets behind Grasshopper Sharpshooter. Until then, the puzzle remains ongoing—a testament to the wabi-sabi charm of an incomplete story and the enduring spirit of a creator who simply loves an adventure.
We had the privilege of interviewing the author. Here are excerpts from the interview:
Thank you so much for joining us today! Please introduce yourself and tell us what you do.
Greetings. Call me AC. I’m a blue-collar worker by day and a self-published author by night.
Please tell us about your Book.
My book is the first part in a series that will elaborate on the mythology and belief system of the ants. It’ll be told in the form of a metafictional video game.
Please tell us about your journey.
I was born with high-functioning autism and ADHD. As a result, my life has been a struggle for much of my life. After hitting an existential crisis at the age of 30, I decided to tell myself a story to heal my psyche. Overtime, that story became something extraordinary and this book is the culmination of my efforts. The first book of many, I hope.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
Studying psychology, philosophy, and video games my entire life has saved said life in more ways than one. Empathy, I’ve figured out, has been the supreme factor in me overcoming my life obstacles up till now. I do what I do because other individuals took their time to help me help myself. Now, I wish to do the same for others. Pay it forward, in a manner of speaking.
Any message for our readers
Keep reading and never stop learning. Life is strange, and the best method I’ve discovered to embrace the strangeness is to learn about others’ personal accounts of life. Fortune favors those who don’t give up.
Thank you so much, AC, for giving us your precious time! We wish you all the best for your journey ahead!
