In today’s fast-paced world, women often find themselves juggling numerous roles and responsibilities, sometimes losing sight of who they truly are. Carmen Queen’s debut book, , serves as a beacon for women seeking to reconnect with themselves and embark on a journey toward self-actualization. With a friendly and engaging tone, Queen invites readers to explore their inner desires, build confidence, and celebrate their unique identities.
Addressing Mental Health: A Step Toward Healing
Mental health is a critical aspect of overall well-being, yet it’s an area where many women struggle in silence. Statistics reveal that approximately 20% of women face mental health issues like depression or anxiety each year. Recognizing this, Queen’s book offers an interactive self-help experience that encourages readers to confront these challenges head-on. By acknowledging personal struggles and delving into their root causes, the book provides practical tools and insights to help women navigate their way toward healing and a more fulfilling life.
Through reflective journaling and thoughtful exercises, Be You. Do You. For You. empowers women to take control of their mental health journey. It creates a safe space for readers to explore their emotions, identify patterns, and develop personalized strategies for moving forward. Queen’s approach emphasizes that understanding oneself is the first step in overcoming obstacles and achieving lasting change.
Celebrating Yourself: Crafting Your Life’s Blueprint
Amidst the demands of work, family, and daily routines, many women put their own needs on the back burner. Cooking, cleaning, managing a household, and caring for loved ones can become all-consuming, leaving little time for self-reflection or personal growth. Queen challenges this norm by encouraging women to pause and consider: When was the last time you curated an experience solely for yourself, attending to every detail and fulfilling your deepest desires?
In her book, she guides readers through the process of designing a personalized blueprint for their lives. This involves identifying what truly brings joy and fulfillment, setting meaningful goals, and being willing to pivot when necessary. Queen’s message is clear: life is not a dress rehearsal. Time is of the essence, and women deserve to live lives that are authentic and aligned with their true selves.
A Journey of Self-Discovery with a Trustworthy Guide
What sets Be You. Do You. For You. apart is Queen’s relatable and conversational writing style. She shares candid personal stories and offers no-nonsense advice, making readers feel as if they’re chatting with a close friend over coffee. The book tackles fundamental questions about identity, purpose, and the reasons many end up in unfulfilling situations. More importantly, it provides clear, actionable steps to redefine one’s path.
The inclusion of journals and small assignments keeps readers actively engaged in their transformation. These tools help maintain focus and accountability, ensuring that the journey toward self-actualization is both practical and impactful. Queen stands beside her readers throughout the process, offering support and encouragement as they work toward becoming the individuals they are meant to be.

We had the privilege of interviewing Carmen Queen. Here are excerpts from the interview.
Hi Carmen, It’s great to have you with us today! Please share about yourself with our readers.
A businesswoman of 20 years specializing in public speaking, a former franchisee, and an MBA candidate, I have built a successful career in marketing and psychology, specializing in knowing exactly how to deliver information to wide audiences that motivate, either in sales or life goals. I love nothing more than speaking about these types of things and building an audience from the ground up. I am now shifting my focus from the business and speaking world to the world of self-help and am looking to make a lasting impact on people, as I believe we all have a rendezvous with destiny.
Please tell us about your book, Be You. Do You. For You.
In language that feels like the reader is sitting across the coffee shop table from a friend, we tackle the central questions of who we are, what we want to be, and why we wind up in ultimately untargeted and unfulfilling lives–and, critically, how exactly to answer them. I incorporate stories from my own life and insightful journal entries and make an impossible process feel both hugely important and immensely simple. Step-by-step guides and blueprints help readers form a mission statement and blueprint for their lives and follow the reader as a companion through every step of their life turnaround. In the end, the reader is transformed into who they were born to be—or at least, they’ve begun that journey. And these pages are right there with them like a friend, holding their hair back when it gets tough and holding their hand through the rest.
Please tell us about your journey.
A little hood, a lot of universe. Embracing the unexpected of a developmentally disabled brother, abandonment of a parent, obstacles seemingly insurmountable and handed to me before I could even walk. Turning those obstacles into opportunities. Faking it until I made it. Letting go where I could. Realizing what I DO want in life as opposed to what I SHOULD want. Defining who and what I am, not what society told me to be. Befriending my flaws and utilizing my strengths. Creating a mission statement for my life. Of what my story was going to be, not allowing for the circumstances to define me.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
Formulating a blueprint of my life. Who am I? What do I want to be? What are some areas of opportunities for me? Knowing those elements and going after exactly that. Elements that aren’t that? Simply letting them go and moving on. Comprising small and impactful goals for myself that compound over time, ultimately leading to larger self-fulfilling goals. Doing things that scare me for the betterment of myself. If I fail, that’s ok. I tried, but it is still a win. Looking in the mirror, being proud of who I am, knowing who I am, and on days not so much? Holding myself accountable.
