Ambassador Otto Federico von Feigenblatt has built a reputation that bridges the worlds of scholarship and diplomacy. His Excellency, who holds multiple doctoral degrees, currently serves as the Andean Parliament Special Envoy for Education, a cabinet-level position reflecting his influence in shaping international educational policy. Alongside this, he is the Dean of Global Affairs and chair of educational leadership at the Latin Division of Keiser University.

His path began in academia, where he established himself as a prolific researcher. With more than one hundred peer-reviewed publications and numerous books, he has become a recognized authority in areas spanning international relations, legal anthropology, and educational leadership. His election to the Royal Academy of Doctors of Spain, the Royal Academy of Economics and Financial Sciences of Spain, and the Academy of Diplomacy of the Kingdom of Spain speaks to his global recognition.

His long list of honors, including knighthood by King Felipe VI of Spain with the Order of Isabella the Catholic, the Medal of the French Senate, and several national decorations across Latin America, reflects the respect he has earned worldwide. Thank you so much for joining us today! Please introduce yourself and tell us what you do.

I am a diplomat and a scholar. I am currently serving as the Dean of Global Affairs and chair of educational leadership at the Latin Division of Keiser University. In my role as the Andean Parliament Special Envoy for Education, I also serve as an advisor to governments and intergovernmental organisations regarding international educational policy. 

Please tell us about your journey.

I started as a professor and then crossed the bridge to diplomacy. My previous work deals with a vast array of topics ranging from legal anthropology to international relations. 

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

The best way to become a good writer is to experience the world and to explore the human experience from a vast array of perspectives.
