From Military Boots to Bassline Beats: Adam Mc Taz’s Incredible Journey

Adam Mc Taz is an artist whose story begins in the bustling city of Bradford in the United Kingdom. For anyone who has walked those streets, his name reflects the grit and determination that come from a challenging upbringing. He didn’t fit into traditional classrooms, and he often found himself at odds with authority figures. Eventually, he was kicked out of school and left to figure out his next steps. Rather than dwelling on his circumstances, he joined the British Army at 16, proudly serving as a Royal Engineer. That decision set the stage for the self-reliance and discipline that would soon define his life and musical endeavors.

Over the years, he faced heartbreak and loss, including the passing of his father, brother, and grandfather. These events took a toll, yet they also inspired him to carve out a unique path for himself. After completing his military service, he decided to move to Ireland, where he lived on his own and found time to reflect on his next move. He discovered an unshakeable sense of independence and a deep well of ambition that led him to become an international truck driver—traveling across Europe in search of fresh perspectives and new creative sparks.

From Military Discipline to European Highways
Adam’s shift from military life to trucking may not seem like a typical transition, but it aligned perfectly with his go-getter mindset. The open road offered something traditional jobs couldn’t: freedom to roam and space to dream. As he traversed various countries, he encountered diverse people, cultures, and landscapes that infused new energy into his daily life. At first, he simply documented his travels on social media, sharing snapshots of scenic routes, roadside cafés, and the everyday challenges of driving an enormous rig.

Before long, he noticed that his follower count was climbing—thanks in large part to his honest and engaging storytelling. More than 486,000 people began tuning in to see where he would go next and how he’d handle the obstacles thrown his way. This online community also became the perfect platform for sharing his budding passion for music. Adam had always been drawn to beats and rhymes, but it was the endless hum of tires on pavement that finally kicked his creativity into high gear.

Crafting a Unique Sound: Bassline with a Twist
Anyone who listens to Adam’s music will quickly realize it doesn’t conform to a single genre. At its heart, it’s Bassline, a style that combines the energy of drum and bass with the punchy elements of hard house. However, Adam adds his own layer of hip-hop–inspired delivery, creating a hybrid sound he likes to call a brand-new style born in the north of England. His lyrics paint a vivid picture of life on the road—everything from the thrill of tearing across international highways to the emotional strain of being away from home.

His approach to writing and producing is as hands-on as his approach to life. He collaborates with a professional production team back in the UK, but he oversees the creative direction to ensure every track reflects his personal journey. Featured on Rap Fame four times, Adam has gained a reputation for raw authenticity and a take-it-or-leave-it style that resonates with listeners searching for something real.

Seven Songs, One Epic Journey
Adam’s debut EP stands as a testament to his passion for blending storytelling and infectious beats. The collection features seven high-energy tracks, each shining a light on a different facet of trucking life. “Truckers Anthem” kicks things off with a celebration of the camaraderie shared by those who spend their days and nights on the road. In “King of the Road,” he embraces the invincible feeling that comes from having endless highways under his tires. The driving pulse of “Average Speed Check” acknowledges the necessity of caution in an otherwise thrilling environment, while “Positive Vibes” encourages optimism in the face of life’s detours.

For a dose of high-octane excitement, “16 Wheeler Drift” offers a window into the adrenaline rush of maneuvering massive vehicles. Meanwhile, “Red Lights” explores the frustrations that come with sudden halts—whether literal or metaphorical. Finally, “Big Rigs” serves as a powerful conclusion, saluting the very machines that make his journeys possible. Check out the YouTube playlist here.

A Roadmap for the Future
Looking ahead, Adam Mc Taz plans to keep living by the motto he’s embraced for years: Live your dream. He continues to document his adventures on Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms under @AdamMctasney, sharing not just the everyday triumphs but also the bumps in the road. In doing so, he hopes to motivate anyone feeling stuck in life to chart their own path, no matter how unconventional it may seem.

For those eager to experience the rush of Bassline beats powered by relentless ambition, his seven-track EP promises a memorable ride full of heart, soul, and unstoppable momentum.

We had the privilege of interviewing the Music Artist. Here are excerpts from the interview:

Thank you so much for joining us today! Please introduce yourself and tell us what you do.

Hiya, I’m Adam Mc Taz. I’m an international trucker from Bradford. I live on the road, traveling Europe, influencing positive vibes, and sharing my experiences on social media.

Please tell us about your Music.

My music is my attitude and experiences on the road, from trucking driving to how I deal with negativity and life’s roadblocks. I write songs and produce them with help from a professional team back home.

Please tell us about your journey.

My journey in life was tough. I grew up in a rough estate in Bradford, had no education, and was kicked out of school. I joined the British Army at 16 and served my country as a royal engineer. I lost my dad, my brother, and my granddad, who was my role model. Then, I left the country, moved to Ireland, and started traveling alone; this helped me find myself and become the person I am today. A no-nonsense, positive role model for young people to look up to.

I pride myself on being independent and strong mentally.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

I work hard and live life to the fullest; my motto is Live your dream. I’m very unique and self-motivated.
