Sensational Rising Star Soléa Ignites the Scene with New Single “Dance With Me” from CHANGES

Soléa is stepping into her spotlight with poise, rhythm, and a clear sense of self. Her latest single, “Dance With Me,” marks the beginning of a new era and serves as the first release from her debut EP, CHANGES.

Opening Thoughts

There is something magnetic about an artist who fully understands her creative identity. Soléa, an independent multidisciplinary artist based in Atlanta, brings that energy into everything she touches. From producing and writing to mixing, performing, and content creation, she shapes her artistry with intention. As a Music major at Spelman College, she balances academic growth with real-world momentum, crafting a sound rooted in jazz and neo-soul while keeping it fresh and current.

“Dance With Me” feels like a confident step forward. It is playful, intimate, and rhythm-driven. It sets the emotional tone for CHANGES, a project that reflects growth and self-discovery. The song invites listeners into a moment charged with chemistry. It feels personal, yet universal.

Available on Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, and SoundCloud, the track is already finding its way onto playlists that celebrate smooth R&B textures and late-night vibes.

First Impressions

From the very first line, “Fever running so high, I can melt,” Soléa draws the listener into a heated atmosphere. The imagery is immediate. She paints a scene across a crowded room, where curiosity simmers beneath the surface. The subject appears guarded, maybe even jaded. Still, she leans into the moment with boldness.

The chorus becomes the heartbeat of the song. “Baby, come and dance with me” repeats with intention, almost hypnotic in its delivery. It is an invitation wrapped in confidence. There is flirtation in her tone, yet she maintains control of the narrative. She knows what she wants. She knows what she can offer.

The production mirrors the mood. Warm basslines support her vocals, while subtle rhythmic layers build tension. Her background as a bassist and pianist is evident. The groove feels intentional, grounded, and smooth. Her jazz influences surface in her phrasing, adding softness and nuance to the track.

The lyrics explore temptation and imagination. “Give in to temptation” suggests surrendering to the moment, allowing fantasy to unfold without overthinking. The repetition of “thinking about you” reflects how desire can loop in the mind. It is simple, yet effective. The song does not rush. It breathes.

Crafting Her Own Lane

Soléa’s creative journey has been shaped by curiosity and persistence. She has been singing in choirs since childhood, building her foundation through harmony and discipline. At 13, she began piano lessons and later attended Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp to deepen her studies. During the pandemic, she taught herself bass, expanding her musicianship in isolation.

Her production journey began during her freshman year at Spelman. What started as experimenting with beats grew into full songwriting and recording sessions. That hands-on approach continues today. She produces, writes, mixes, books shows, and leads her band. Every element of her artistry reflects her voice.

Outside of performing, Soléa works as a sound designer for video games and live productions. She has contributed as an audio artist to The Sims 4 expansion packs including Life & Death, Business & Hobbies, and Adventure Awaits. This experience adds another dimension to her creativity. She understands how sound shapes emotion, how small details can transform an experience.

Recently, she opened for Ari Lennox at Spelman’s SpelHouse Neo-Soul homecoming concert. Sharing that stage was more than a performance. It symbolized her alignment with the neo-soul tradition that inspires her.

Why It Matters

“Dance With Me” reflects Soléa’s willingness to embrace maturity and sensuality in her artistry. This chapter feels intentional. She describes this era as more grown, more queer, and more expressive. That authenticity shines through.

One of the most powerful lessons behind her evolution has been learning to release outside perception. She recognizes that she cannot control how others interpret her work. What she can do is stay grounded in her truth. That clarity fuels her music.

The track captures heat, tension, and anticipation. Lines like “I feel it when we’re touching” and “Feel it coming” build a sense of closeness. The energy is immersive. Listeners are pulled into the dance, into the rhythm, into the shared pulse of the moment.

With CHANGES on the horizon, “Dance With Me” feels like the first glimpse into a broader story. It shows an artist who is confident in her craft and unafraid to explore desire, identity, and growth through sound.

Final Thoughts

Soléa is carving her own path, blending musicianship, technical skill, and storytelling into one cohesive vision. “Dance With Me” invites listeners to move, to feel, and to connect. It signals the arrival of an artist who is fully stepping into herself.

If this single is any indication, CHANGES will be a journey worth taking.

We had the privilege of interviewing the Music Artist. Here are excerpts from the interview:

Thank you so much for joining us today! Please introduce yourself and tell us what you do.

Hello! I’m Soléa, an emerging independent artist based in Atlanta and a Music major at Spelman College. I wear many hats—producing, writing, mixing, creating content, booking shows, and leading my band. I’m a vocalist, bassist, and pianist with strong influences in jazz and neo-soul, using my music to bring my stories to life while having fun along the way. Outside of performing, I work as a sound designer for video games and live productions. I’ve contributed as an audio artist on The Sims 4 expansion packs Life & Death, Business & Hobbies, and Adventure Awaits. I’m passionate about all things music and audio.

Please tell us about your journey.

I’ve been singing in school choirs for as long as I can remember. Wanting to explore music more deeply, I started piano lessons at 13 and spent a summer at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp studying piano. During the pandemic, I taught myself bass, and later began producing during my freshman year at Spelman—starting with beat-making before moving into writing and recording my own work. Recently, I had the opportunity to open for Ari Lennox at Spelman’s SpelHouse Neo-Soul homecoming concert. Last year, I released three singles as my introduction to the world. This year marks a new chapter: a more mature, queer, and sensual era of my artistry. My journey is still unfolding, and I’m excited to see where music takes me next.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

One of the biggest lessons behind my growth has been letting go of outside perception. At the end of the day, you can’t control how people receive you—you can only stay true to yourself and keep creating.
