Don’t be afraid of setbacks, shares founder of Outdoor activities site OutdoorMotto

OutdoorMotto

Hey Guys,

Today, we are interviewing Andrew Hardin, founder of OutdoorMotto. He loves exploring nature and working towards community building and social causes.

1. How did you get into what you do right now? Please tell us more about your journey?

OutdoorMotto

As I said, I love exploring nature. So we have started a focused website OurdoorMotto.com about outdoor activities. We also have a plan to introduce membership plans where outdoor enthusiasts can interact with each other and plan activities together. These are still in planning phase.

2. Who are your role models?

I really like Elon Musk. The way Elon Musk is working on futuristic technology is really inspiring. Instead of going for venture funding, he has put his own money in his venture. That speaks about his vision, thinking, commitment, and belief in the venture.

3. What inspires you?

Being your boss and making changes in people’s lives, whether directly or indirectly. Every small positive change and every smile that you bring to people matters. And all these add up to a ripple effect.

4. How are you using different social media channels/online marketing to market your work?

We are mainly focused on SEO. SEO provides the best ROI among all online marketing channels. We do have a presence on Facebook and Twitter, but SEO takes the major chunk of effort. And it also provides that consistent stream of visitors who are really interested in your product or service. Though it takes time to get a return from SEO, once it starts coming, there is no going back.

5. What’s your greatest fear?

As of now, nothing. When you start on the entrepreneurship journey, you have to get past the fear of losing. Infact most of the time, it is fear of something that keeps people away from entrepreneurship.

6. What are the success strategies/secrets that helped you in your journey?

I believe in delegating tasks. I can not do all the work myself. I am good at certain things. I will manage those things. I will always hire an expert or outsource things whenever I can not handle them.

7. What keeps you going when things get tough?

Belief in self. When things take an ugly turn, you get lots of noise from friends, relatives. You have to believe in yourself and keep calm and keep working with focus. There is always dusk after dawn. It is like putting a noise-canceling earphone on your ears. You only listen to music that is playing and no noise from the surroundings.

8. How can people connect with you?

They can visit our website OutdoorMotto.com and contact from there.

9. Any message for our readers…

Plan and take action. Only when you take action, you make mistakes and learn new things and move towards your goal. No plan is 100% safe. Things will not always go according to plan. There will be deviations and setbacks. Don’t be afraid of setbacks. Learn from setbacks and keep moving.
