Today, we are interviewing Benny Hookfin, aka Big Catfish, the stand-up comedian, and an independent stage actor from Florida.
Please tell us something about yourself.
I am fun to hang out with. I love video games, movies, fishing, camping, sports. My favorite sport is WWE Basketball UFC.
How did you get into what you do right now? Please tell us more about your journey?
I chose the path of comedy since the Bible says laughter is good for the soul. I had a lot of tragedy in my life. I wanted to take my pain into the stage and talk about it and make people laugh about it. I was signed to a management deal with Donnell Ballard. I am very grateful to Justin Case Rapping Grandpa for helping me out!
Who are your role models?
God is my number one role model. Steve Harvey, Chico Bean, Karlous Miller, DC Young Fly are my role models.
Who do I aspire to be like?
I love the red fox.
What’s your greatest fear?
My biggest fear is failing; that’s why I practice really hard, and I need a lot of support.
Looking back, what’s one thing you wish you understood better before you ever got started?
The only thing I could change what I know now is to change my circle, watch who I let in my circle.
