Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Joquori, a Sound Engineer and Music Artist from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Hi Joquori, Great to have you with us today! Please tell us about what it is that you do.
I have been talent scouting and showcasing talent for the past decade and now am finally publishing my own works. I started music as an escape from poverty and depression as a boy because it was the only thing I could pour my pain into, and it didn’t judge me. I am very spiritual and find peace in creating afrobeat, dancehall, and uptempo music that is meaningful and timeless. I would like to highlight my international breakthrough EP titled ‘Coming 2 Africa.’ It has garnered over 400,000 streams worldwide and counting.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
Staying persistent and producing quality over quantity has helped me to be patient when putting out music. I believe words are powerful, so I want to provide deep and profound messages with whatever I let my audience listen to.
