Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Nexx, a Caribbean/hip-hop artist based out of Bridgeport, CT. He is also into songwriting & photography.
Hi Nexx, Great to have you with us today! Please share with our readers about your journey.
I have been making music since my early teen years. On August 22, 2022, I dropped my first EP. The song ‘On the floor’ was well received & created some local success for me.
Please tell us about your latest music.
On April 14, 2023, I dropped my first complete project called ‘The Lost Tape,’ & so far, the feedback has been good. I recorded most of this project with platinum-selling artist/label owner Dantetweaks. It was a pleasure working with him & his team. When picking the tracks for this project, I wanted to make sure there was a little something for everybody to enjoy.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
I had to do a couple of resets on this journey of becoming a successful artist. Most times, it was the way I was thinking that I needed to change or adjust. Sometimes you got to walk away from something you love until you can learn to love it properly.

I want my readers to know that persistence is the best response when facing obstacles.
