‘Singing songs to toddlers is one of the best ways to spend time’ – says Milton James, Owner of Shiloh Bear Music

Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Milton James, Father of Shiloh James and Owner of a Music Label called Shiloh Bear Music. He orchestrates children’s songs to help promote positive growth for children of all ages.

Please tell us about your journey.

Music has always been my passion. I spent my entire teenage years writing, recording, and performing hip hop music. One day I was changing my son’s diaper, and naturally, I created a jingle while doing it. The song is now titled ‘Diaper Song.’ I was so impressed with the jingle that I would tell friends about it. They then insisted that I make it an actual song, which then created a snowball effect.

Please tell us about your Music Label ‘Shiloh Bear Music.’

Before I knew it, I had about 3 songs that were all inspired by my son. I decided to start a record label before posting the songs on streaming sites to generate additional income. I don’t currently manage any artist as yet. I’ve been lucky to know a few singers and producers that have been magical in bringing my lyrics and harmonies to life.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

So far, I’ve been using freelance services to get visuals, artwork, and even promotion done for the label. My greatest achievements so far have been with Diaper Song. It is on the brink of breaking 100,000 views on YouTube and doing quite well on Tik Tok. My son and I truly enjoy watching videos of people worldwide using our songs/sounds to their videos.

Singing songs to our little bundles of joy is one of the greatest ways to spend time. Whether you’re an amazing singer or not is irrelevant. You can sing our songs, your own or someone else’s, whatever it takes, as long as we bond with our loved ones while doing so. I hope you stay with us on this wonderful journey of ours.
