We had the pleasure of interviewing WaynnDikky, music artist and one of the founding members of the rap group F.T.S (Full Time Soliders). Here are the excerpts from the interview.
Hi, Great to have you with us today! Please share with our readers about yourself.
Hi, I am WaynnDikky, Mr. blue hair himself. I used to go by Smoke of FTS, a Seattle underground group I was in. Now WaynnDikky is here.
Please tell us more about your journey.
Well, my journey has been a rocky one, to say the least. I wish I could say I’ve been treated unfairly or should have been at the top by now. Unfortunately, I cannot say anything that has been hard in my life is because of my actions, I could go deeper, but that’s for another time. I will say this though the faster you take responsibility, the faster you will see change.
Please share with our readers about your new album.
My new album is called My Picture Book. I have some big names on this one. I won’t give that away yet. You will have to follow me for more details. This is my first time working with so many platinum selling producers on a single project.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
One thing that has helped me is being a good father. It has kept me level-headed and focused even on my cloudiest days. And how you think. Here’s a quick story, years ago, there was a poll run around members within my group FTS. It was about who was the best and who was the worst. In a nutshell, I was told I was voted the worse 9 times out of 10. When someone hears that, it stings, hurts, makes you think, and second guess yourself, but not me. How I looked at it was how lucky I could be because all the guys I was making music with were just that good. So, instead of making it about me, I made it about them and changed the narrative. Maybe at first, it was a defensive mechanism, honestly, but soon it became the way I think. I have a saying I would always love to be the weakest link in the room; that way, there will be no worries because I know what I can do, plus you can always learn.
