We had the pleasure of interviewing the artist; here are excerpts from the interview.

Hi, It’s great to have you with us today! Please share about your musical journey.

What’s up? I’m CAB22 Trap Artist and IT$ Label founder. I started making music way back when I was 12 years old in German Realschule 7th grade while listening to Eminem and Kool Savas.

I was pissed at school, so I made beats with a friend with Ejay hip hop maker or something, and recorded some CDs, which got me in trouble and a bit of school fame, lol. So slowly, I started to discover underground rap from Berlin, Germany, like MC Basstard, King Orgasmus, Frauenarzt, and so much more, haha; with that came all that Memphis Tape Stuff like Triple 6 Mafia, Tommy Wright III, DJ Zirk, and so on. I discovered Dark Rap and got deeper into it with Dosia Demon or even the Insane Clown Posse’s Guitar laced Oldschool Foolery, and it was never the Same.

I went on with a life full of trouble and shit with family, police, homies, working as a delivery guy for various companies, criminality, and ex-girls, and I decided to make music fully committed when everything was falling apart because of mental disorders I have been battling since my youth. Yeah, One day I got to make my diploma as Music designer at the University. Due to Welfare got me a chance by luck.

In between, I made a couple of friends at the Faygoluvers Forum(A News site for ICP & Juggalo related stuff), met M.C. Cole and Turna Fraze & later on Magadino The Chemist, Black Jack and Chris Marilyn through Facebook, and founded in these Streets Records, which was struggling at first.

So I was in the best way to becoming a professional, was hanging out in the Sony Studios and got to be behind the Curtains of Million Records which gave me a taste of the real industry. While still fighting in the streets outside every day and sleeping in parks, but whatever, drugs can hold you up, lol.

Due to another chance I took, I was able to get out of that shit and build my studio, where I am constantly evolving my sound now and working on all that surrounding stuff every day.

Please tell us about your latest EP, Ich fürchte nicht das $chwert des DamoKhle$ 4. Akt – EARTH.

My Latest EP Ich fürchte nicht das $chwert des DamoKhle$ 4. Akt – EARTH is now available on SoundcloudIt is also on the way to Spotify and other streaming platforms.

It features a Longtime Dream coming true, Blutiges Rendezvous, with Juicy J and Tobijah Monir on the Guitar; it’s a Highspeed Romantic Horror Trap Track, which I had the most fun Producing and rapping.

The whole EP Series is meant to be about my struggle and how I never gave up, even being a suicidal mess sometimes while speaking with gods and demons and running against the clock, which is the sword hovering above us all. They all follow the concept of me producing the heavy load of the beats and having a structure to follow.

The Track GUNDAM which is inspired by the Anime with the same name from the EP Ich fürchte nicht das $chwert des DamoKhle$ 2. Akt will get a music video next month.

My second project at the moment is the BUDDHA TAPE$, which will have its Winter Installment coming up next featuring Futuristic. The Theme is to have it Mastered like a Tape in the 90s and 2 Pitched Characters rappin’.

What strategies contributed to your success?

I have never given up, and even when it didn’t appear like it, I was always pulling some strings no matter how down I was. I fought through stepping on stages as a socially awkward kid and blew people away, told the right people about my struggles, and kept at it. I searched the web and real life for opportunities and took advantage of them, be it Google advertising campaigns or putting my self-made tapes into orders of CDs and merchandise. Right now, I am building up my Instagram, YouTube & TikTok accounts to be some kind of modern flyer system and reach a wider audience.

It’s also important to Network and speak with people, get features, support, Promo, knowledge, and friendship to build up success, but always stay true to yourself.
