Today, we are interviewing Najj, and she has been reading Tarot cards for 20 years now.
1. How did you get into what you do right now? Please tell us more about your journey?
I began at about 19 years old. I’ve always been interested in learning about the spiritual world but never knew where to start. I wish I could say I am a 2nd or 3rd generation reader, but to be honest, no one in my family has ever shown any kind of gifts. One night I was watching a movie, and I saw a lady giving a gentleman a Tarot reading, and I was HIGHLY drawn to it. The next day, I made calls and was able to find a store that sold tarot cards, and I purchased my first deck. If you noticed, I mentioned I made calls ….. that’s because there were no Social Media channels when I first began my journey. There was no Google, and I had to learn everything on my own. What I was experiencing, I was experiencing this alone. I had no point of references, just the book that came with the deck.
2. Who are your role models?
I honestly don’t have any Role models in this particular field.
3. What inspires you?
I feel inspired when I know I have helped someone out. A lot of people come to me seeking answers, and I’m able to give them that lead then in the right direction. Most people are seeking clarity to a situation they mostly already know the answer to, they are usually surprised when I am able to read the exact situation they are dealing with and provide solutions.
4. Please tell us about what you do.
My Business is Tarot Snob. I offer solution base readings and predict outcomes to a personal situation or life experience you may be dealing with. I offer readings based on Love, Career, Finance, Family, Energy, and Clarity Readings. I must say, Love readings are my specialty. I find it quite easy to read someone’s relationship, most customers are surprised how spot on I can be!
5. What’s your most memorable experience?
I once volunteered to do readings at a Charity event in MI. There was a gentleman there who was very skeptical about receiving a reading. After I convinced him that it was okay to receive a reading, he asked me questions about his family. I was able to tell him what his three sons were individually dealing with, and also the outcomes for their immediate future. The gentleman was blown away that I was able to describe each of his son’s different personalities, having no knowledge, or never met them before. Although I volunteered for the event, this gentleman left me a $500 tip! I was very appreciative, but I still donated it to charity. For me, it’s not about the money, it’s about helping others, and I was glad I could help.
6. Which social media channels work best for promoting your work? What exactly do you do on the social media channel that makes it work for you?
I promote most of my business on Instagram. My Instagram account is gypsy_hussle__. I chose this name because it combines my love for music, plus my love for Tarot. I named my Instagram after the Late Rapper Nipsey Hussle. I’ve had this name for years, even before his untimely death. On my Instagram, I’m most popular for my Free Yes it No readings I do every Friday !! I have my followers send me a question, I pull a few cards , and I let you know if the guides are giving you a Yes or a No! It’s totally free, and it gives you the opportunity to learn more about my style and determine if you would like to schedule a reading.
7. What’s your greatest fear?
Lately, I’ve noticed the spiritual world is starting to become popular. Although I’m glad people have spiritual awakenings, I worry that it’s also becoming a trend. I’ve noticed some women are getting more into the dark magic side of it because they’ are trying to get their lovers back, and there is so much more than putting spells on EXes! This is real; the laws of attraction, meditation, chakra balancing it’s all real, and again I worry some people are just seeing it on social media and using it as a way to be cool and pretend to be deep.
8. What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
I do a lot of reading. Books, articles, and I also do a lot of free readings, I have a spread that I want to begin working with.
9. What keeps you going when things get tough?
What keeps me going is helping others in their time of need. I know that we are in a time where things move fast, people want answers now, and that’s a service I am able to provide. When I am done with reading, I love to hear the customer say, “thank you, that’s helped so much, now I can move on” that for me makes it worth it! Some days I am tired, and I can be overwhelmed with readings…. but again, knowing that I am helping someone move forward, I keep pushing.
10. Any message for our readers.
My message for everyone …. please don’t be afraid to get a Tarot Reading! It’s basically a message from your spiritual guides, talking to you through the reader. Have you noticed you’re seeing repeated number patterns, 111, 222, 555, etc., any 3 or 3 number combination? That’s your Angels trying time reach out to you, don’t think you’re crazy!
