Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Stacie A. Ford, a Registered Nurse, and Corporate Wellness Consultant. She specializes in Corporate stress management and retention solutions.
Hi Stacie, Great to have you with us today! Please tell us about your journey.
I began this journey 4.5 years ago after experiencing occupation-related burnout that caused me to have anxiety and depression. I lost interest in nursing due to the toxic workplace culture and extremely stressful conditions. This caused me to take a mental health leave. During that time, I sought holistic solutions for the burnout I was experiencing. Through meditation and other ancient healing tools, I no longer suffered from burnout, depression, or anxiety, and I was hooked. I developed a strong desire to help other healthcare professionals avoid burnout. One universal issue I noticed is that healthcare providers are some of the most stressed-out professionals, and most do not have the tools or resources to help them navigate it.
Please tell us about your company, Illuminated Wellness Consultants.
I decided that I was going to help healthcare providers, be that resource, and help them navigate. Thus, I created Illuminated Wellness Consultants.
Illuminated Wellness Consultants is my consulting firm. We empower healthcare organizations with stress management, resilience, and emotional intelligence tools that help healthcare providers regulate their stress, have better clarity and productivity. Those solutions provide a happier workplace environment, safer patient outcomes, and improved employee retention.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
We’ve learned that employers who invest in their employees’ mental and emotional wellness tend to have happier, loyal employees and see improvements in profits. It’s a win-win situation for all involved.
Any message for our readers.
I attribute my success to my desire to really create change in the healthcare environment. Unfortunately, healthcare has glamourized overworking and exhaustion as a badge of honor. This mentality has driven many healthcare professionals away, has impacted patient care, and creates a larger gap in the shortage of healthcare professionals. I know the impact that burnout has on healthcare professionals. I also know the tremendous impact that tools like mindfulness, mental fitness, and emotional intelligence were on my own personal burnout recovery.
Fantastic! So tell us, how can people find out more about you?

Thank you so much, Stacie, for giving us your precious time! We wish you all the best for your journey ahead!
