Broie-Christian-Orr

Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Broie-Christian Orr.  She is an owner of a consignment bridal boutique and CEO of a non-profit organization in Dallas, Texas called SARSES, assisting High School students with Mental Health Issues. Also, she teaches students how to influence their peers by bringing awareness to drug abuse in the High School community.

Please tell us about yourself.

My name is French. I was named after my great-great-grandfather Broy Qautrell. My mom is African American. My father is Native American, African American, and Irish.

Please tell us about your journey.

While this has been a long time, I have overcome “abandonment pregnancy.” This is when a woman carries their child without telling anyone she is pregnant due to the amount of shame she experiences, family members included. Overcoming 15-year alcohol addiction and surviving discrimination in the workplace for 3 years. Early age annulment, and homelessness. A mother who survived being absent from her son for the first 4 years of his life, which was the sacrifice I made to get my life stable enough for me to financially provide for him.

In the same hard seasons, there were disappointments in family and personal relationships. I have several obvious stories where God showed himself to me in a physical form by leading me to the right people, changing my life completely.

My entire life has been restored, where people are shocked and compelled by my story. It’s a motivating story as well.

Please tell us about what it is that you do.

I write motivational blogs and encourage individuals on a day to day bases. Also, I am putting all my energy into influencing all of the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex by providing free services for the High School Students for mental counseling.

Oracle Publishing in Grand Rapids, Michigan will be publishing my first book. The name of the book is Presents of Hope. It speaks about the seasons of my life and how my purpose was birthed out through the 10 years of pain. I mirror this to a cycle of a butterfly.

I have been working in the pharmaceutical industry overall for 14 years. Just recently, I have been a compliance officer for the Government funded program called 340b. I am in the process of transitioning to another lucrative industry. My book, Presents of Hope, will be released in Summer of 2021. I was working in the Restaurant Industry, where I was a licensed Bartender. When offered to work as a Salary employee, I decided to leave the Bar Industry all together.

Fantastic! So tell us, how can people find out more about you?

You can check out my blog and connect through my social media channels of Instagram and Facebook.

Thank you so much for giving us your precious time! We wish you the best for your journey ahead!
