Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Albert Lukonga, he is the Founder and Executive Designer at Albert Couture, USA. Let’s hear his story.
Can you please tell us more about your journey?
I was born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. We left the country through a political crisis and went to Zimbabwe, where my family and I became refugees. In 2006 we came to the United States.
Please tell us about your Company.
Albert Couture is the first luxury menswear brand in the state of Kentucky launched during covid-19. We only see clients by appointment who make the booking online. The client gets offered drinks of their choice and get customized products built from scratch. Shoes are hand customized in Spain, and all clothing items are made-to-measure with a 20-day turnaround. The company offers the best fabrics in the world and makes the most luxurious service available to all.
What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?
I started in sales when I was in high school and college. When I dropped out of college, I bought a mentorship program through Tai Lopez and flew to Santa Monica to get mentored in building a business. When I came back, I trained and read books for 3 years. I worked at Jos A Bank to understand my industry more and my clientele. I also built mentors in business around my area to learn from.
