Kenneth Wyche’s ‘Get Your Mind Right’: Mastering the Art of Self-Improvement

Feeling stuck or overshadowed by negativity? Searching for a way to break free from the influences that hold you back? Kenneth Wyche’s upcoming book, Get Your Mind Right, might be the transformative guide you’ve been waiting for.

Unveiling the Power of Proactive Learning

At its essence, Get Your Mind Right is a journey into how individuals can learn proactively from their life experiences. Wyche dives deep into various fields—psychology, economics, religion, technology—to provide a well-rounded perspective on personal development. He emphasizes that every person has an innate need for self-actualization, the realization of one’s full potential and abilities.

Wyche believes that our desires are eternal, linked to the divine or cosmic forces of the universe. These aspirations don’t simply disappear; they may lie dormant due to negative influences or self-doubt. The book encourages readers to revive these desires, suggesting that giving up on them isn’t entirely their fault. By understanding the impact of different influences, one can make objectively healthy decisions that lead to personal fulfillment.

Overcoming Negative Influences and Living Authentically

One of the standout themes in Wyche’s work is the identification and confrontation of negative “nouns” in our lives—people, places, and things that drag us down. He doesn’t shy away from strong language, metaphorically referring to these negative forces as “demons” or even “the devil himself.” These are the elements that don’t want to see you succeed, that undermine your efforts whenever you strive for something greater.

Wyche urges readers to break free from these constraints. He posits that you only receive what you believe you’re worthy of, so it’s crucial to believe in your worthiness of joy, love, success, and purpose. The book advocates for surrounding oneself with positivity and actively affirming the good in life. It’s about rejecting inauthentic living and the shame that often accompanies it, empowering oneself to live a life true to one’s desires and values.

We had the privilege of interviewing Kenneth Wyche. Here are excerpts from the interview:

Hi Kenneth, It’s great to have you with us today! Please share about yourself with our readers.

Hi, I am not that great at talking about myself, lol. I value humanity and connecting with people. I run the lifestyle brand Life with Ken, where I do what I can to help people live more confidently. Get Your Mind Right is my debut title, so I’m still not adjusted to being an author yet, but I publish various types of content, including articles, regularly. I am really interested in unity right now, bringing people together, and knowing we have more in common than we do that separates us.

Please tell us about your Book.

Get Your Mind Right is my debut non-fiction self-help book that is about how you can be inspired to create positive change in your life. Sometimes, what you go through isn’t completely your fault. Yes, it’s important to take responsibility for your actions, but also, while you’re owning up to your shortcomings and apologizing for your mistakes, is the sentiment being reciprocated towards you? There is an old adage that goes, it takes two to tango. In this book, I illuminate to the best of my ability, via my own experiences, different situations in life that you may have experienced or are currently experiencing, some potential takeaways from those challenges, and ways you can think about them differently that may influence you to make a positive change for yourself and or your loved ones.

Please tell us about your journey.

Okay, firstly I am a Christian. This book is not Christian or religious but there are religious references. I start with that because my faith has led me to this point in my life thus far. Prior to relatively recently, I felt incapable of being myself because I was implicitly told and or made to believe that my authentic self isn’t likable. In other words, I would get a lot of lip service from people, but when it came to demonstrating their words, those same individuals would scatter, disappear, and or treat me like an inconvenience. At least that’s how I felt, and perception is reality. Once I started living with fidelity towards myself, people really didn’t like that, because I started seeing through their facade and making healthier decisions for my own well being. Some people like you better in a gaslit state than in one of free and dynamic thought.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

One of the main strategies, which I alluded to in my previous answer to the last question, is I started living with fidelity. Depending on your interpretation of the word con-fidence, what you get is “with-fidelity.” Once I started having confidence in myself and supporting my endeavors, I started making strides in what I perceive, and at least hope to be, the right direction for my life. I feel like I’m better today than I’ve been. It hasn’t all been easy, but I’m glad I’m on this path now.

Any message for our readers?

Be open-minded in life. Allow yourself to think outside of the box. Suspend your unbelief, even if only for a brief moment. Ask yourself, why not you, and why not now? You only receive what you believe you are worthy of receiving, and you can do anything you put your mind to. Put your mind to great things, put your mind to your God given desires, put your mind to the thing(s) you want that someone projected on to you that you couldn’t get. It wouldn’t be in you if it wasn’t meant to be fulfilled through you. Believe you are worthy of materializing what’s inside of you.

Thank you so much, Kenneth, for giving us your precious time! We wish you all the best for your journey ahead!
