Gregor Vagner Proves He’s a Rock Maestro with His EP ‘Beauty And The Beast’

Meet Gregor Vagner, or as his friends call him, Greggy, a man with a dream that goes far beyond his current career as a salesman. Greggy’s passion has always been rock music, and though his day job is in sales, his heart belongs to the stage, the guitar, and the energy of rock ‘n’ roll. Music has been his true calling for as long as he can remember, and despite the ups and downs of life, he’s never let go of his dream to become a rockstar.

But Greggy isn’t just another dreamer—he’s a doer. His musical persona, Ticket To The Universe, is his alter ego, a project where he pours all his creativity and talent into crafting songs that speak to his love for rock. His latest achievement? The release of his EP, Beauty And The Beast,” a six-song collection that highlights his deep connection to the genre that has shaped him.

A True Rock DIY Approach

What makes Greggy’s music stand out is that it’s truly a one-man show. On his EP, Greggy wears multiple hats: he’s the vocalist, the rhythm guitarist, the lead guitarist, and the bassist. The only thing he didn’t handle directly was the drumming, but even then, he took charge of mixing the tracks himself. It’s clear that “Beauty And The Beast” is a labor of love, with every chord and note representing Greggy’s personal investment in his music.

For Greggy, this EP isn’t just a collection of songs. It’s the culmination of years of dedication, trial, and error. He has played in several rock bands throughout his life, but things didn’t always work out as planned. “I was part of different bands, but somewhere along the way, I always gave up,” he recalls. “It was hard to stick to it, and I just didn’t have the guts to go all the way and see it through.

Eventually, he realized that the only way to make his dream happen was to take control of it himself. He learned the hard way that persistence is key. “I’ve learned that you should never, ever give up in life. Follow your dreams forever,” he says, reflecting on his journey. And now, the result of that self-reliance is his debut solo EP. Check out “Beauty And The Beast” on all major platforms, or stream it on Apple Music.

The Making of “Beauty And The Beast

The EP features six songs, which Greggy intentionally kept on the shorter side, ensuring every track packed a punch. The title, “Beauty And The Beast,” speaks to the duality of life—the soft and the raw, the emotional and the chaotic—which is perfectly mirrored in his music. The songs are heavily inspired by rock giants like Guns N’ Roses, with whom Greggy shares a deep, lifelong connection. In fact, his love for music was sealed the day he first heard Appetite For Destruction, the album that, in his words, “blew me away.”

From that day forward, Greggy knew he wanted to live the rockstar life. His other major influence? Oasis. Liam Gallagher’s words—“Live every day like a fucking rockstar”—became Greggy’s personal motto. He embraced the attitude and lifestyle that define rock ‘n’ roll, bringing that energy into every song he creates. “You can’t fake rock ‘n’ roll,” Greggy says. “The moment your music sounds amazing, you know it’s real, and that’s what I live for.

Rock ‘n’ Roll Is More Than Just Music

For Greggy, being a rockstar isn’t just about making music—it’s about a way of living. Whether he’s in the recording studio, performing, or even during his day-to-day life, Greggy embodies the spirit of the rockstar. He believes in authenticity, in being true to yourself, and living every moment like it’s part of a great rock anthem. His journey has been far from easy, but it’s been shaped by a fierce commitment to doing things on his own terms.

Despite his love for bands like Guns N’ Roses, Greggy found that going solo gave him the creative freedom he needed. When working in bands didn’t pan out, it would have been easy to give up. But Greggy’s love for music was stronger than any setback. Now, having produced and released an EP entirely by himself, he’s proving that sometimes, the best collaborations are the ones you have with yourself.

What’s Next for Greggy?

While “Beauty And The Beast” is just six tracks, Greggy views it as the beginning of something bigger. He’s already working on new material, continuing to refine his sound and push the boundaries of what he can do. “It’s short and sweet,” he admits, “but I think it’s the right way to start.” With each new project, he hopes to reach more listeners, sharing his love for rock ‘n’ roll with the world.

For anyone who’s followed their dream through thick and thin, Greggy’s story is one of inspiration. It’s a reminder that even when life throws you challenges, staying true to your passion and never giving up can lead to amazing things. As Greggy continues his rock journey, there’s no doubt that he’s living proof that rock ‘n’ roll isn’t just music—it’s a way of life.

We had the privilege of interviewing Gregor Vagner. Here are excerpts from the interview.

Hi Gregor, It’s great to have you with us today! Please share about your latest EP, Beauty And The Beast, with our readers.

Hi, My profession is a salesman, but I’ve got other plans. My dream is to be a fucking Rockstar! My music is proper Rock n’ Roll. My latest EP, Beauty And The Beast, is heavily influenced by Guns n’ Roses. It consists of 6 songs. I know what you’re going to say: that’s not a whole lot, right? But I decided to keep it short and sweet.

Please tell us about your journey.

My journey is such a long story. But I’m going to try and keep it short. I’ve played in several rock bands straight on from my teenage years. But it never worked out. And I only have myself to blame. Somewhere along the way, I always gave up. I guess I didn’t have the balls to go all the way and get my prize in the end. I learned never to give up in life, but it was too late then. None of the guys wanted to play in a band with me anymore. But the dream, my dream is still alive, so I decided to do it all on my own. And here is the result, this EP. When I was in high school, I decided to skip class. So I went home, smoked a fucking joint, and listened to Appetite For Destruction by Guns n’ Roses. It fucking blew me away. And still, to this day, they are my idols, all of them. They and Oasis showed me the way; they showed me how it’s done. Liam Gallagher once said that you should live every day like a fucking Rockstar. And I took his advice. And right now, I’m living like a fucking Rockstar every day. Cause you can’t fake Rock n’ Roll. You know that it’s real the moment your music sounds fucking amazing.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

I’ve been successful in a way that I got much better at music throughout the years. Singing, man, that’s what I most had to get good at. But I still don’t consider myself a great singer. I’m average. And as for musical success in the world, maybe considering the music industry, I still haven’t had it. I really don’t know what I have to do for my music to just magically blow up in the entire world.

Any message for our readers?

No matter what you do and no matter what you want to do in life, never give up. Never give up on your dreams, and keep on fighting till the end. You’re beautiful, you’re loved. Thank you!

Thank you so much, Gregor, for giving us your precious time! We wish you all the best for your journey ahead!
