Bob Allen Kroll Captures a Mother’s Love in ‘Mom, I Wanna Know You Better…’

Capturing a Mother’s Heart in Her Own Words

There’s a quiet kind of magic in the way mothers love. It’s steady, selfless, and often goes unnoticed in the hustle of daily life. That’s what makes Mom, I Wanna Know You Better…A Mother’s Journal of Love to Her Child by Bob Allen Kroll such a touching and essential book. It gives mothers the opportunity to tell their story—gently guided by thoughtfully crafted questions—and gives children a priceless window into their mother’s world.

Part journal, part memory book, this work is more than just blank pages waiting to be filled. It’s an invitation to remember, to reflect, and to share. With over 300 unique prompts, it guides mothers through the highs and lows, the laughter and learning, and the unforgettable milestones that shaped their path through motherhood.

A Thoughtful Space for Reflection

Journals are often seen as deeply personal, but Kroll’s creation is more than a place for thoughts—it’s a bridge. One that connects past experiences to future generations. The prompts inside Mom, I Wanna Know You Better… aren’t just routine questions—they’re carefully selected to bring out heartfelt memories and emotional truths.

Each prompt allows a mother to take her time, revisit meaningful chapters in her life, and express what may never have been said aloud. From everyday routines to life-altering moments, she gets the chance to put her love into words. There’s no rush here, no pressure—just a space that gently encourages depth, honesty, and affection.

The end result is something powerful: a completed journal that becomes a lifelong keepsake for a child or children. It’s a personal story told in the mother’s own handwriting—filled with her voice, her memories, and her wisdom.

What Makes This Journal Stand Out

One of the most striking features of this journal is its uniqueness. The prompts go far beyond the usual surface-level questions and dive into experiences that are often overlooked—those quiet moments of grace, perseverance, and vulnerability that make up a mother’s legacy.

The design itself complements the heartfelt content. The glossy cover adds a touch of elegance, and the choice between soft and hardback editions means it can be gifted exactly the way the giver intends. Whether for a birthday, holiday, or simply a moment when words fall short, this journal steps in as the perfect gift.

It also ships quickly, making it an ideal last-minute treasure that doesn’t feel rushed. And because it’s filled by the mother herself, no two copies will ever be the same. Each one becomes a one-of-a-kind collection of love, insight, and personal history.

A Keepsake That Lasts a Lifetime

There’s something enduring about handwritten stories—especially when they’re written with love. Mom, I Wanna Know You Better… gives mothers the chance to leave behind more than photographs or mementos. It allows them to leave their story. Their voice. Their truth.

And when a child receives that journal? It’s not just a book. It’s a piece of their mother’s heart. Something they can turn to on hard days, joyful occasions, or just when they want to feel close to her again. It becomes a family heirloom in the truest sense—one filled with personal moments, unfiltered thoughts, and timeless love.

This journal isn’t flashy, but its impact is profound. It strengthens bonds, honors motherhood, and turns everyday memories into something truly extraordinary.

We had the privilege of interviewing Bob Allen Kroll. Here are excerpts from the interview.

Hi Bob, It’s great to have you with us today! Please share about yourself with our readers.

Hi, I am an author and speaker on the topics of marriage and family. I grew up in Wisconsin and currently reside there with my wife of 30 years, Christine, and we have four boys, two daughters-in-law, and three grandchildren. I believe in the necessity of strong and loving families as the foundation for a better world.

Please tell us about your book.

‘Mom, I Wanna Know You Better…’ is a beautiful journal for mothers to share their lives with their children. There are over 300 prompt questions for Mom to express her thoughts, joys, trials, and triumphs. Once the journal is finished, Mom can present to her child/children as a wonderful keepsake for all time.

Please share your journey with our readers.

I grew up in central Wisconsin on a dairy farm. I was the oldest of nine children. My parents suffered from alcoholism, and sadly, my siblings and I suffered from a lot of verbal, emotional, and physical abuse. As I grew into adulthood, I found a way to forgive my parents and helped them turn their lives around. I have a wonderful relationship with them now, and I desire all parents and children to establish – or reestablish – a great relationship with their mother and father. This book will help with that.

What are the strategies that helped you become successful in your journey?

I have a strong relationship with God, and that has made all the difference.

Any message for our readers?

To have a great relationship with your father and mother is a desire we all have within our hearts. Our parents do the best with what they have, and their struggles are real and difficult sometimes. As children, I hope we can all find a way to forgive our parents if we need to and live with greater peace and joy. This book and my similar book for dads, “Dad, I Wanna Know You Better…” may help in strengthening relationships.

Thank you so much, Bob, for giving us your precious time! We wish you all the best for your journey ahead!
