Cheryl Paris and the ABGW Podcast Help Women Heal From Work Stress

Introduction

Cheryl Paris has built a reputation for meeting professional women exactly where they are, even when the outside world believes they are managing just fine. Her work speaks to those who carry invisible pressure and want a steadier way forward that feels real and sustainable.

Supporting Professional Women Through Work-Related Trauma

Based in Berkshire, England, Cheryl Paris is a UK-based stress-trauma coach and clinical hypnotherapist who specialises in work-related traumatic stress for women in leadership roles. Her practice focuses on the often unseen emotional cost of high-pressure careers, especially within environments shaped by toxic culture, bullying, or relentless expectations. Cheryl understands that many women continue to perform, lead, and deliver results while quietly absorbing the toll of chronic stress.

Her work centres on helping clients make sense of how prolonged workplace pressure affects the nervous system, confidence, and sense of identity. Many of the women she supports have spent months or years holding everything together externally while feeling increasingly disconnected, exhausted, or emotionally unsafe behind closed doors. Cheryl offers a space where these experiences can be explored without judgment or pressure to minimise what happened.

Rather than pushing quick fixes, she helps clients gently unpack what work stress has left behind in their bodies and minds. This process allows women to move away from constant survival mode and toward a place of greater emotional steadiness. Confidence begins to rebuild, boundaries become clearer, and clients often rediscover a sense of choice in how they respond to work and life.

A Trauma-Informed and Human Approach to Healing

Cheryl’s approach to trauma-informed coaching is practical, compassionate, and deeply grounded in how the nervous system actually functions. She recognises that healing does not happen through force or willpower alone. Instead, it unfolds when people feel safe enough to slow down and listen to their internal signals.

Nature plays an important role in how Cheryl thinks about recovery. Her love of the natural world shapes her belief that healing works best when it is gentle, steady, and respectful. Just as growth in nature follows its own rhythm, she encourages clients to allow progress to emerge at a pace that feels supportive rather than overwhelming.

Through personalised coaching sessions, Cheryl helps women understand how stress has shaped their emotional responses, relationships, and self-trust. Her work supports a stronger mind-body connection, allowing clients to feel more present and grounded in their daily lives. Many find that this approach helps them reconnect with themselves after long periods of emotional disconnection.

Clinical Hypnotherapy as a Path to Inner Safety

Clinical hypnotherapy is a key part of Cheryl’s practice. She uses it to support clients in calming their stress response and shifting deeply held patterns that no longer serve them. This work focuses on rebuilding a sense of inner safety by working with the mind and body in ways that feel natural and supportive.

Rather than forcing change, Cheryl guides clients through processes that allow the nervous system to settle. Over time, this can reduce hypervigilance, emotional overwhelm, and the constant feeling of being on edge. Clients often describe feeling more at ease in their own bodies and better able to respond to challenges with clarity.

Her sessions are tailored to each individual, drawing on mindfulness, hypnotherapy, and resilience-building techniques. The goal is to help women feel emotionally steady again while remaining fully themselves. Many clients appreciate that this work does not require drastic life changes or abandoning successful careers. It simply offers a healthier internal foundation from which to move forward.

Empowerment, Community, and the ABGW Podcast

Cheryl’s work is designed for capable, high-achieving women who are often the ones others rely on. She focuses on empowerment that feels genuine, helping clients regain emotional balance without needing to perform resilience or pretend everything feels fine.

Beyond one-to-one work, Cheryl hosts the ABGW Podcast, short for Amazing, Brilliant, Gorgeous, Wonderful. Co-hosted with her daughter, the podcast explores recovery, resilience, and practical strategies for people who function at a high level while feeling low inside. Episodes blend warmth, insight, and tools that listeners can apply in everyday life.

A central theme of the podcast is what Cheryl calls “outrageous unconscious joy.” This idea reflects a grounded sense of joy that emerges naturally when the nervous system feels safe enough to relax. It is about allowing lightness back in without pressure or performance.

Cheryl also nurtures a supportive online presence through social media and a WhatsApp community. These spaces allow women to share experiences, offer encouragement, and celebrate progress together, creating connection beyond the therapy room.

Conclusion

Cheryl Paris continues to offer a thoughtful and compassionate path for women navigating the hidden impact of work-related stress and trauma. Through coaching, hypnotherapy, and community, she helps clients reconnect with calm, confidence, and a sense of possibility that feels both authentic and lasting.
